Mercedes Unveils New S Class Limo In Shanghai.

Mercedes unveiled its latest version of the top-of-the-range S class in Shanghai, China, Tuesday, which boasts big advances in autonomous driving and electrification.
The new S class goes on sale first in Europe from July. Expect sales to start in the U.S. by the end of the year. No word yet on price.
Several new engines are planned for the new S-Class with in-line six cylinders as diesel and gasoline engines as well as a new V-8 biturbo gasoline motor. Mercede also plans a plug-in hybrid version with an electric range of about 30 miles.
The S class has an improved autonomous driving system which allows a degree of hands-free driving. Speed is now adjusted automatically ahead of curves or junctions.
“The development of the new S-Class was extremely extensive. With a whole series of new features and functions the S-Class remains the technological pioneer”, says Daimler board member Ola Källenius.
The S class was the best-selling luxury saloon in the world in 2016. Since 2013, the company has sold well over 300,000 of these sedans.
There is also a Mercedes-Maybach version for those who can’t afford a Rolls-Royce.
