Wintonsweek Prescott “Affair” Spurs Derision, Contempt For Neo-Labour| That’s Why Blair Will Be Forced To Fire Him The Shame Is, He’ll Be Laughing All The Way To The Bank “neo-Labour is so dysfunctional it finds Prescott useful” John Prescott. You couldn’t make him up. If I was writing my first political novel and I tried to invent a character like Prescott, I would have been laughed off the court. The man is full of class hatred and unthinking, tribal, bile; unable to string sensible sentences together and proud of it; ill-educated and, after almost 60 years, still smarting from the humiliation of failing the 11-plus exam. Then, still unable to raise any self awareness, devoting much of his useless and counterproductive career to making sure talented children from poor families will never get the chance of a world-class education, because he was too dim to pass the exam. Prescott has tried to force an E.U. regionalisation programme on us, flatten perfectly good houses in the North, concrete over the South, and destroy local democracy with his Code of Conduct for councillors in the Local Government Act of 2000, which has the effect of silencing local representatives on the loony grounds that in expressing views on issues for which they were elected, they might be biased in some way. Perhaps the most telling aspect of Prescott’s career is the fact that neo-Labour is such a dysfunctional organisation that it finds him useful. As for the affair with his employee, doesn’t that tell you all you need to know about this arrogant, bully? Blair, and to their eternal shame, the Tories too, are trying to pass this off as a private matter. A private affair would have been a genuine love affair with a person Prescott met on equal terms in the real world (probably the tea lady). That would have justified this pathetic Tory tactic of excusing predatory behaviour towards one of his underlings. But Prescott used his power as an employer to force himself on the help. Then he abused his position to fornicate in the office, and used tax payer’s money to fund his boozing. Neo-Labour has got away with so much during its corrupt, arrogant and incompetent tenure in government, but if Blair hasn’t got the guts to bury Prezza it will mean derision and contempt from the electorate. That’s why the game is up for Prescott. Unfortunately, he will have the last laugh, with his bullet-proof pension. Surely there must be some way us taxpayers can force this oaf not to glean any benefits from his time in “government”? If has been guilty of abusing his power, let’s strip away all the benefits Prescott thinks are his due. What Is That Thing On Charles Clarke’s Forehead? You must have noticed this surely. Every time Clarke appears on TV to bluster and deny that he is a serial incompetent, you see this scar in the middle of his forehead, almost right between his eyes. It’s as though he has been reincarnated from another political life where he was assassinated, probably for trying to allow ruthless killers their freedom to kill and maim the innocent. I have become utterly bored with this man’s pathetic excuses, but every time he appears on TV, I become obsessed with this scar. Where did he get it? I’m guessing that it is the result of some silly student sit-in which went wrong. After all, Clarke’s only claim to fame before joining the Labour party is that he wasted a lot of people’s time in student “politics”. Can the next reporter to interview Clarke ask this question, before Tony Blair calls time? The BNP Is A Left Wing Party The BNP, like the fascist National Socialists in 1930’s Germany, has nothing in common with right wing politics. Right wing conservatives, like me, are essentially libertarians who want less government, less tax, and more freedom for the individual to make their own decisions in important areas like health and education. The BNP hates free trade and capitalism, is incandescent about globalisation, wants workers’ cooperatives, state control of things like the Railways and god help us, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. It wants to withdraw from NATO, and it hates Jews. This is no rightist organisation. Hitler helpfully called his party “socialist”, but for some reason I’ve never understood, the media traditionally ignores this and labels the Nazis as right wing. Let there be no mistake. The BNP is a party of the left. It wants to control people. Libertarian it ain’t. This is an extreme left-wing party. Although you never guess it from its local election manifesto, which gets excited about “greater provision of dog waste bins” and “ultra-low pollution hydrogen buses”. Neil Winton May 2, 2006 |
